Freight Analyst

Leggett & Platt Global Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Freight Analyst at our downtown office in Chicago, IL – our office is located at 205 W. Wacker Drive. This position will report to the Director of Leggett & Platt Global Services.

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) filings

Process freight invoices (review, audit, dispute, log, etc.)

Monitor, manager, and report on customer/vendor aging statements

Update daily EDI dray reports

Dispatch and monitor freight movement

Data Entry (audit, create secondary shipments, create manual orders, update and verify shipment invoices.

Perform continuous improvement of processes relating to logistics procedures

Perform various ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business environment, logistics, or accounting

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Must be a team player, self-starter and possess the ability to work independently

Must be comfortable with decision making and problem solving in a fast-paced office environment
