Freelance Web Developer

Hawthorn Creative is a full-service brand and content marketing firm dedicated to the event and hospitality industry. Our dynamic team of designers, editors and sales associates are passionate about merging powerful aesthetics and engaging content to produce campaigns that drive results.

We are looking for an experienced freelance Web Developer to assist us on a per project basis with both internal and client deliverable. Candidates must be available during East Coast business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST) via email and phone.Successful candidates must thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment, and have skills in the following areas:

• Must be fluent in: PHP, CSS, HTML, and WordPress. Knowledge of Drupal is helpful.

• Experience working with MySQL.

• Must be extremely familiar with responsive web design and programming.

• Ability to conduct thorough QA testing and match designs to the finished product.

• Ability to work independently and stay within budget and project timelines. * Availability to perform work and scheduled conference calls during business hours.

• Ability to work effectively with both internal and external clients as needed.

• Must be EXTREMELY detail-oriented, highly organized, and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• 2+ years’ experience developing in a professional setting.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. * Work can be completed in our Portsmouth office or offsite.
