Freelance: Painter

Kaleidoscope is always looking for talented freelancers on an as-needed and per project basis. Painter

The work involves detailed hand finishing, color mixing and painting on a wide variety of packaging and design products including, but not limited to, glass, plastic bottles, cans and containers or custom shop fabricated design models and props. Models may be hand fabricated, CNC machined in metals and plastics, thermoformed plastic, cast urethane resin parts and or high-fidelity 3D printed models. You will train and work with the lead painter in the paint department, under the direction of the model shop manager

Requirements:
You should have a good eye for color be able to mix and match paints to PMS ink and client samples

Comfortable working in a paint room environment and wear personal protective equipment while painting

Detail oriented, organized and demonstrate excellent craftsmanship

Must communicate and work well with co-workers, project managers, designers and clients alike

All freelancers must be able to work on-site and available during normal hours of business typically from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Some extended hours and/or weekend work may be necessary in order to meet client expectations. This is a contract freelance opportunity; no overtime or benefits.
