Freelance Full-time Web Designer – mid-junior level

Bumble and bumble is looking for a freelance web designer to join our nimble and passionate digital creative team. You will have a key stake in creating digital assets for our newly launched website and across all digital channels. We want someone who can balance creativity with efficiency and isn’t afraid to share bold ideas. We’re located in the Meatpacking District and we’ll need you to work on-site, 4-5 days a week. We are foremost a hair care brand; however, our digital team is inspired by everything we see online (and IRL) to create the most visually arresting content possible.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing assets for e-commerce website.
• Create marketing emails and banners for daily offers and product launches, aligned with creative templates and brand identity.
• Support digital and retail partners to design assets for offers and brand promotions.
• Work directly with senior designers, developers, and e-commerce marketing team to create a beautiful, cohesive digital brand experience.
• Ensure all designs follow modern web design standards across all browsers and on all devices.
• Adhering to project deadlines.
• Maintaining clear communication with team members VIA email, IM, and basecamp.

Qualifications

• 2+ years professional digital experience.
• BA/BFA in Communications Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experience
• A digital portfolio showcasing visual design strengths.
• Proficient in MacOS and Adobe Creative Cloud programs (photoshop, illustrator, indesign).
• Proficient in designing specifically for websites and digital platforms.
• Proficient understanding of fundamental principles for typography, design, and composition.
