Freelance Account Executive

J. Walter Thompson Atlanta
is seeking a Freelance Account Executive. The Account Executive is responsible for day-to-day management of the account, overseeing digital projects spanning from campaign initiatives to larger strategy innovations to move the business forward.
Duties:
  • Develops in-depth expertise of client’s business and ongoing initiatives to support the business

  • Builds rapport and credibility with client based on trust and expert counsel

  • Works with project management to successfully kick off internal teams on new initiatives and ensures that client delivery dates are met

  • Works with planning to develop creative brief and project request that ladders up to client requests and expectations

  • Participates in client meetings including status calls, creative presentations, reporting, etc

  • Works closely with Account Supervisor to manage the client budget including obtaining client approval of estimates and tracking burn against the approved costs

  • Reviews all materials before client presentations/final production

  • Maintains accurate records of client expenditures, time utilization, billing information, client contacts, conference reports, etc.

  • Ensures prudent use of agency resources, tapping into appropriate team members where applicable

  • Keeps Account Supervisor informed of/involved with client activities/problems

  • Manages special projects as assigned

  • Familiarity with and adherence to agency financial and operating procedures and policy

Performance Accountability:
  • Cooperative relationships within the account team and with supervisor

  • Client satisfaction with agency support in achieving marketing objectives.

  • Work completion within budget and time parameters


Knowledge, Talents and Skills:
  • 2 years experience in an advertising agency or related field

  • Experience working with integrated campaigns desired

  • Experience in vendor management desired

  • Experience with digital projects, innovation and CRM desired

  • Understanding of branding favored

  • Have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Energy, competitive spirit, passion for world-class marketing, proactive

  • Microsoft office proficiency
