Foster Care Program Supervisor – Louisville

The general purpose of your job is to oversee everyday functioning of foster care and adoption services in the Louisville office. You are responsible for employee support, foster parent support, achieving positive outcomes, consumer satisfaction, licensing compliance, and foster home retention. The Program Supervisor will monitor and administratively supervise departmental staff and will monitor and supervise the foster and adoptive parents assigned to the regional licensed program, along with having ongoing collaboration contacts with other public and private agencies.

Job duties include:

  • Supervise, mentor, train, and develop the departmental staff, therapeutic foster and adoptive parents, and interns.
  • Complete evaluation of employee, intern and therapeutic foster and adoptive parent performance.
  • Supervise the placement of children into the foster/adoptive home.
  • Acts as a liaison with placement agents and other community resource persons.
  • Responsible for documentation of foster/adoptive home certification records, child’s files and written reports.
  • Responsible for documenting and correcting any violations or deficiencies in policies and programs.
  • In conjunction with the Director, ensuring regulatory, contractual and accreditation compliance.
  • Assists in the development of the annual department budget and monitors the budget throughout the fiscal year.
  • Provide on-call emergency support.

Job requirements include:

  • Education: Master’s Degree preferred, but will consider a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services, or a related area. A Bachelor’s Degree is required for the position.
  • Experience: Two to five years of experience required if the applicant does not have a Master’s degree.
  • Experience working with recovery based treatment plans and behaviorally oriented programs.
  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
