The New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud and Elder Abuse Division, an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer is seeking applicants for an “At Will” (not classified) Forensic Auditor position. An “At Will” position means any state office job or position of employment which is exempt from the service and the Personnel Act,” Section 10- 9-4 NNMSA 1978, the employee serves at the pleasure of the New Mexico Attorney General.

The applicant must possess a degree in accounting or a CPA license and at least five years of experience in the field of accounting. The applicant will assist in the performance of financial and medical audits on Medicaid providers suspected of having committed Medicaid fraud or abuse. The applicant must possess the skills to collect, evaluate, and analyze data and other evidence, and compile results and conclusions in report format, including graphs, charts, written reports, etc. The successful applicant would work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and must have good communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.
