They are an integral part of the Fixed Income franchise, working alongside sales and trading to service clients in product areas such as Rates, FX, EM and Credit.

Morgan Stanley’s North American Fixed Income Research team is seeking an Associate for our G10 FX Strategy team. The role involves communicating with institutional clients, writing research notes, conducting bespoke analysis, and building and maintaining analytical models. The candidate must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, excel, oral and written communication skills.

We are looking for an analyst/associate level candidate to join the Global FX Strategy Team to analyze G10 FX. The role would report to the Head of North America G10 FX Strategy, based in New York.

Candidate tasks would include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting bespoke analyses of G10 foreign exchange, including collecting and analyzing data, authoring research reports, and presenting results to internal clients around the firm and external clients-Contributing to the development of the team’s core FX views-Leading internal client meetings-Running econometric analyses of macroeconomic and other factors on foreign exchange-Building and maintaining large datasets, chart packs, and models-Supporting the NA Head of G10 FX in the development of presentations, weekly reports, and ad hoc analyses

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes: -Strong understanding of macroeconomic concepts, including balance of payments, international finance, and fixed income valuation-Robust econometric skills, including the ability to run regression analyses independently, and interpret the results-Ability to work independently under tight deadlines-Self starter: someone eager to learn and pick up new responsibilities-Flexibility: The ability to help out where needed and ‘roll with the punches’
