Financial Planning & Analysis Intern

: Position will compile and organize external data (competitor, industry, economic). Position includes creation of database, and reporting template. Position also includes research and analysis as needed by the department.

Responsibilities:

• Completes Internship survey at the end of the Internship term.
• Provides supporting data for all levels of Executive presentations.
• Completes special projects, as assigned.
• Ongoing analysis and monitoring of competitor and peer group companies – presentations, financial reporting, and websites.
• Support of the Finance Newsletter.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma/GED equivalent or equivalent work experience
• Currently enrolled in College and 15 undergraduate credits

Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• No experience necessary
• Must be able to communicate well with the general public
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, vendors and co-workers and to work in a team environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in JD Edwards preferred
• Must be able to communicate well with the general public
• Elementary knowledge of practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities
• Elementary understanding of departmental structure and policies
• Basic professional knowledge and fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities
• Elementary understanding of departmental structure and policies with an elementary understanding of the cross functional structure and policies of Whataburger Restaurants LLC
