Job Overview
The Financial Ops Analyst responsible for Dealer Finance activities ensures timely and accurate drafting of dealer accounts for vehicle wholesale transactions, assists the dealer with reconciling transactions impacting floor plan and dealer bank accounts, maintains dealer banking information in CoFiCo and ensures all dealer billing activities are compliant with Daimler policy. The position also manages printing and distribution of all MSOs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MSO process for both originals and reprints; oversee 3rd party relationships to ensure adherence to contract requirements, define and publish criteria for duplicate MSO requests, validate/ approve duplicate MSO requests; research local jurisdiction requirements; perform data analysis and identify patterns and trends to alert various departments of potential dealer agreement issues or export policy violations.
  • Research dealer questions and determines which business units are involved in explanation and resolution. Monitors situation to ensure responses and resolution are timely. Determine if a dealer’s customer account should be opened to accept posting of account transactions. Serve as escalation agent for unresolved issues.
  • Liaise with MBUSA departments and dealership personnel to reconcile and settle terminated dealer accounts.
  • Ensures dealer account is setup in accordance with MBUSA Credit Policy. Monitors transactions and ongoing account status to maintain compliance with local credit policy. Notify applicable departments of Dealer credit suspensions. Validate and approve dealer banking setup and modifications.
  • Creates and maintains process documentation. Conducts regular self-audits in accordance with ICS guidelines. Supports quarterly external financial audits and internal corporate audits as needed. Work with MBUSA Treasury department to clear outstanding dealer payments and reconcile MBUSA bank accounts. Approve reissue of dealer payments as necessary.
Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in:

Accounting
Business Management
Finance

Must have 2 – 4 years (total) of experience in the following:
Accounting: Knowledge of internal controls, recording and reporting of financial transactions, including the origination of the transaction, its recognition, processing, and summarization in the financial statements.

Administration: Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.

Business – General: Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.

Business Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.

Finance – General: Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.

Processing: Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.


Additional Skills

Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint knowledge.
PeopleSoft 9.2 for Payroll and Time Labor preferred.
