Financial Engineer (Entry-Level)

About the role

This stream is a fast track Financial Engineering consultancy role in our Graduate Options Program for graduates with excellent mathematical and technical abilities. Those chosen for this stream will help us continue to provide tailor-made solutions, from consulting to support models to technology services. Roles will be based around the globe, therefore it is imperative that you are willing to travel extensively at short notice.

As part of this stream, your multiple asset class knowledge and capital markets technical skills will be key. You will fill Support and Business Analyst roles across front, middle and back-office operations. This stream represents an ideal longer term opportunity for those with a Capital Markets Project Management career plan.

The initial training will take place in our HQ in Newry, Northern Ireland and will last 4 weeks. During this time you will participate in our Capital Markets Training Programme (CMTP) under the “Capital Markets” stream. After the initial training in HQ, employees will be deployed to begin work on exciting projects in some of North America’s top financial cities. Your home base would be in our downtown NYC office right by Wall Street and typical client sites include New York, Boston, Chicago and Toronto. On top of a competitive base salary, we provide all employees with a free city-center apartment, and cover all travel and expenses (food, commute to work, etc.).

This position is available for both summer and fall 2018 start dates.

What we’re looking for

-Minimum 3.4 GPA in a STEM discipline

-0-2 years of industry experience (this is an entry-level position)

-U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status

-Desire to travel to different cities with home base in NYC

-Technical skills such as Java, Python, SQL, Excel, VBA preferred but not required
