Financial Data Analyst

At Regions, our Financial Analyst I develops financial planning systems and procedures designed to protect assets. Gathers, organizes and documents relevant financial information.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Primary Responsibilities

•Analyzes, consolidates and interprets financial data

•Prepares detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management

•Monitors actual results of financial data against plans, forecasts and budgets

•Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of both short-term and long-term business plans

Requirements

•Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field

Preferences

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Excellent PC skills including experience with Microsoft applications

•Good knowledge of financial statements and strong quantitative skills

Additional Preferences

– Masters Degree preferred

-Finance background recommended

-Systems (SAS, SQL, S-Base) highly valued

-Strong Excel skills

-Sense of urgency necessary to meet regulatory deadlines

Additional Responsibilities

-Ability to understand analytics as they pertain to company financials

-Ability to pull and analyze data to provide reporting to Treasury

-Understanding of valuation concepts and cash flow is imperative
