Schedule: Full Time

Essential Functions

• Must be able to perform all Essential Functions of the Orthodontic Appointment Coordinator
• Answer phone calls and messages regarding patient accounts and insurance
• Requires familiarity with the orthodontic terminology and functions related to the financial area.
• Provide coverage in other administrative orthodontic areas as needed
• Analyze Account Ledgers for proper charges and payments made by insurances and patients
• File insurance appeals or correct claims as necessary
• Verifying and editing insurance information and benefits
• Enter contract fees to patient accounts
• Print and send statements and insurance claims
• Complete specific financial reports as needed
• Deposit reconciliation
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma
• Certificate or experience in Accounting preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and understanding of general delinquency systems
• Excellent computer skills to includes Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software
• Strong customer service skills and commitment to patient/parent satisfaction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with and educate parents
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and be familiar with HIPAA laws & regulations
