Financial Analyst – Wilmington, DE

Overview:

As a Financial Analyst at JP Morgan Chase, you will be responsible for the accurate forecasting of expenses associated with new customer acquisition marketing programs for Chase Card Services. The candidate will be responsible for helping to drive an investment process that accurately reflects the cost of investments, tracks and reports on actual vs. forecast and drives meaningful expense optimization initiatives to facilitate efficient growth.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Partner with marketing strategy, business unit coordination, analytics, operations and finance to ensure the accuracy of the investment recommendation
  • Partner with marketing strategy and analytics to drive an accurate and comprehensive annual budget.
  • Drive the reconciliation, forecasting and updating of marketing expenses to ensure rapid identification of risks and opportunities, enabling reinvestment of unused funds
  • Partner with marketing strategy to drive efficiencies throughout channel marketing

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of finance experience, preferably in the credit card industry
  • Experiences in forecasting, budgeting, expense management and investment decisioning
  • Strong project/program management skills and ability to execute across complex, matrixed environments
  • Advanced degree preferred

· Heavy client interaction across many functions (Marketing, Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Audit) along with external regulators as appropriate (OCC, CFPB)

  • Exceptional analytical, process reengineering and problem solving skills
  • Possesses both cross-functional business and technical acumen
  • Proven understanding of the Card Program P&L and the essential drivers impacting profitability
  • Relentless focus on the customer experience and growth
