Financial Analyst Trainee

We are seeking a Financial Trainee to join our Financial Rotation Program. The role provides essential background to various financial functions of a Music company and covers wide range of areas including Royalties Processing and accounting, Global Financial Reporting and Label level financial experience.

Responsibilities:
The Financial Trainee’s responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:

• Preparation and review of artist level royalty statements
  
• Processing of Royalties
  
• Analysis of market movement and market share data
  
• Familiarity with the Global Financial Reporting system, Hyperion, including report creation and analysis
  
• Experience with Sony Music’s sales reporting system USF/SAMIS
  
• Analysis and critical review of data received and compiled
  
• Assistance with a wide range of other projects – including preparation of various analytics and communication with US & International finance teams as required
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated passion for the industry
• Proven success through prior accomplishments
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and potential
• Exhibits business savvy
• Candidates must be graduating in May 2017

Rotation Criteria

• 2 year rotational program including 6 rotations.
• First year will include two rotations stationed in Rutherford, NJ
• Second year will include three 4 month rotations. Two rotations will be based in NYC and one rotation will be based out of either London, Nashville, Miami or Los Angeles
• Must be able to relocate for at least one rotation
• Once rotations are completed the trainee will be strongly considered for full-time employment within Sony Music
