Financial Analyst, Restructuring Associate, Account Analyst

Salary $80K to $120K plus bonus (potential with bonus $150K to $200K)

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst/Associate who will participate in all aspects of the firm’s engagements including assisting with bankruptcy-related litigation, developing complex financial models, providing valuations, evaluating strategic alternatives, quantifying damages, and analyzing financial and legal documents.

Analysts will work closely with senior members of the company’s team on a variety of engagements representing clients such as debtors, chapter 7 and 11 trustees, creditors and creditor committees in cases spanning a range of industries.

Job Duties:

• Conducting due diligence and performing market research on various industries

• Building and sensitizing complex financial models

• Reviewing and summarizing legal documents

• Preparing comprehensive discussion materials, statements of qualification, and other presentations for prospective and existing engagements

• Presenting findings and proposing solutions

• Liaising with senior professionals, clients, and counsel

Required Experience and Skills:

• Strong academic record from a leading undergraduate / graduate program

• Previous work experience in investment banking, accounting, valuation, private equity or corporate finance

• Superior accounting, financial modeling, and verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to recognize underlying issues and condense large amounts of financial and legal information into logical, thoughtful and concise solutions

• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints
• Willing to work long hours and travel
• Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Preference for candidates with experience in restructuring / distressed
