Financial Analyst – PH

This Financial Analyst role will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Florida Finance team which supports all Florida based projects within the WDI organization including Resorts, Theme Parks, Disney Springs, Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, and Real Estate.

This position requires being a key business thought partner and an integral part of the WDI Florida organization by providing sound financial reporting and analysis and decision support for multiple projects. Key elements of this role include: 1) Ensuring that financial control processes are in place to guarantee compliance of company policies, 2) Proactively identifying issues and offering solution-oriented recommendations, 3) Communicating clear and concise thoughts and information to partners and leaders in a persuasive and timely manner, 4) Building strong working relationships with internal and external business partners to develop a deep understanding of the business, 5) Actively engaging with the overall finance team by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and engaging in team building and business learning opportunities.

This position will work under the direction of more senior staff with responsibilities including (but not limited to):

Develop, maintain and analyze accurate financial reports (e.g., cash flow analysis, forecasting, annual operating plan)

Audit, monitor and control project costs and budgets

Prepare budgets and perform ad hoc financial analysis

Develop basic financial models for performance and trend analysis

Understand the financial and accounting impacts of business decisions to assigned projects

Track commitments for internal and 3rd party consultants and contractors

Identify, complete and analyze journal entries

Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) within SAP and Project Management Control System (PMCS)

Review authorizations for contract (AFCs) and 3rd party invoices

Identify financial issues and present analyses in a format that clearly communicates results

Work closely with diverse partners across the WDI and Segment Finance organizations

(These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered)

Demonstrated understanding of Finance and Accounting skills (e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, GAAP)

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence partners and key business decisions

Demonstrated strong computer skills with knowledge of financial systems and software (SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to work proactively, independently and in a team environment

Ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills and techniques

Ability to manage competing priorities within tight deadlines

MBA, CPA or equivalent

Intellectual curiosity

Commitment to continuous personal development and process improvement

Prior entertainment, construction, real estate, or manufacturing industry experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
