As a member of the Asset Management Finance Architecture Team this individual will act both independently and as part of a team to support the broader Asset Management organization. The Finance Architecture Team is responsible for the implementation, use, enhancement, and the production support of finance tools and applications.

Improving data and analytic infrastructure is a top strategic priority for Fidelity Finance. Both function-wide and Asset Management specific data teams have been formed that are guided by data management best practices with the goal of improving the speed, reliability and ease of access to data. In support of this work, the candidate will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to team members, managers and business partners.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities, strong verbal and written communications skills, exhibit relationship building skills and possess proven project management abilities. The ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility will be critical. This position will support projects of various scope and complexity, and be responsible for managing and/or contributing to them effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify finance application (FDH and FCAP) process improvement opportunities by creating dash boards, control reports, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Represent Asset Management on finance wide FDH Data Standards team
  • Become proficient on finance applications and tools (FDH, FCAP, Tableau, Liberator, FP, etc…)
  • Triage and drive the resolution of finance application issues working with corporate production support teams.
  • Train associates on finance architecture tools (FDH, FCAP, etc…)
  • Perform user acceptance testing for major finance application implementations (SBIP, Non Customer Cash Flows, PASW flows, FCAP, FP etc…. )
  • Gathering, articulating, and prioritizing, Asset Management’s FDH enhancement requirements to corporate finance technology teams
  • Be the owner and champion for our Investment product taxonomy

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting required
  • Advance degree in Finance preferred
  • 4 to 6 years professional experience ideally in a finance analyst position.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to envision the “big picture” while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly to understand key business unit drivers and business models. Role requires strong interpersonal skills to work closely and partner with business unit and corporate teams
  • Ability to independently make decisions within a broad context, and an affinity for problem-solving and the intellectual curiosity to keep asking why.
  • Project and process management in a matrix organization. Business maturity and presence to effectively interact with senior management
  • Ability to create financial models, conduct scenario analysis, understand and assess options, advanced excel skills are required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills and demonstrate confidence in explaining, defending and or challenging analytical findings. Well-developed interpersonal and team building skills
