Financial Analyst II

Seagate is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join the Operations Finance organization supporting worldwide Supply Chain and Procurement. This role will be located in our Longmont, CO .location. This team provides financial and strategic decision support to the global Supply Chain and Procurement management as well as Operations Strategy

management to ensure achievement of the company’s near term and long term

financial goals.

Collaborating cross-functionally with Logistics, Procurement, Materials, Operations, PLM, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Finance colleagues, the

Operations Finance team is expected to develop a deep understanding of the

business metrics, business operating models, processes and procedures and use

this understanding to identify and analyze trends and project the implications

into financial plans and forecasts.

The successful candidate must be a highly motivated team player who is able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment that requires a high level of independent judgment and strong attention to detail. They must be able to understand and dissect complex problems and effectively communicate their recommendations to Senior

Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Act as business partner for key stakeholders in the Operations function.

• Coordinate, consolidate and analyze the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

• Provide guidance on budget and reporting procedures.

• Ensure SOX compliance.

• Optimize operating expenses by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommend actions to management.

• Prepare financial management reporting

• Assess viability of proposed investment, including ROI analysis.

• Perform Ad Hoc requests to support management decisions

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred

• 2-5+ years of relevant experience

• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

• Advanced Excel skills required – experience with Tableau and Anaplan desirable

• Curious, creative, highly flexible and capable of working in a very dynamic environment

• Independent, self-starter, adept at anticipating questions/issues
