The Principal Financial Group is actively seeking an exceptional individual with strong technical and collaboration skills for a unique Financial Analyst I role. In this position, you will build customized reporting and analysis solutions, prepare monthly reports, analyze financial information and participate in multiple projects. This unique role supports a wide range of functional areas within US Insurance Solutions and offers the right individual the opportunity to work closely with upper level management to assist in meeting their reporting needs.

Qualifications:
Required:

– Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, actuarial science, finance, computer science or equivalent experience.

– Strong problem solving, leadership and analytical skills.

– Good oral and written communication skills.

– Good interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.

– Ability to accept and adapt to a changing environment.

– Knowledge of spreadsheet and database (Microsoft Excel and Access) or similar PC software packages, or the ability to learn.

– Aptitude for programming languages

Preferred:

– Experience with SAS, VBA or SQL
