Financial Analyst: Costing/Modeling

Role Overview

Financial Analysts prepare or advise in the preparation of operating budgets for units or departments based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue and expenses, and other factors using appropriate accounting practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support operations team with existing pricing models as well as help with the development and evaluation of alternative pricing structures
  • Partnering with other internal clients on the continued improvement of the pricing process
  • Drive business model and pricing strategy and policies to maximize profitability
  • Work with senior leadership on accounting and finance revenue decisions as it relates to sales opportunities
  • Support the sales team in developing pricing proposals, evaluating strategic options, and responding to customer RFP inquiries
  • Identifies organization’s strengths and weaknesses in regards to pricing and suggests areas of improvement
  • Collaborate with other members of the finance team in budget, forecast, and compliance decisions
  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Involvement in special projects, communication and overall organizational changes related to pricing
  • Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
  • Involvement in projects related to opportunity management and sales data
  • Partnering with other internal clients such as contract and legal teams to expedite the client contracting process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience. MBA or CPA highly desired.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience specific to financial management / analysis and accounting.
  • Experience with pricing and building cost models is required.
  • Advanced proficiency (i.e. Pivot tables, Macros, etc.) in Microsoft Excel is expected.
  • Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
