Financial Analyst, Consolidations

PPG Industries, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst, Consolidations to work in Pittsburgh, PA and to assist with the monthly corporate consolidation and data flows; provide accounting advice for various intracompany and intercompany transactions; provide LIFO accounting input and prepare supplemental information for Form 10-K; and assist other accountants with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems (MIS) plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in a related position. Alternate requirement: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems (MIS) plus three (3) years of experience in a related position.

Experience must include: (i) Hyperion Financial Management and FDM applications; (ii) Hyperion Finance Reporting Studio; (iii) three (3) years with corporate global financial reporting including annual report and Form 10-K preparation process; (iv) three (3) years with U.S. accounting standards relating to equity method investments, accounting for non-controlling interests, foreign currency reporting requirements and consolidations; and (v) working in a global organization. Must be flexible and available for evening/early morning telephone calls and working as needed to meet deadlines/complete projects.
