Financial Analyst, Consolidations

The Consolidations Analyst will be responsible for the monthly consolidation of Delphi’s income statement and related analysis, including supporting schedules for Delphi’s quarterly SEC filings. This role also carries the responsibility of allied imbalance analysis, restructuring consolidation/analysis and legal reserve consolidation/analysis. Finally, the role entails preparation of journal entries for specific transactions that occur each month that are necessary to be recorded at Headquarters.

  • Prepare monthly consolidation of Delphi’s income statement and related analyses
  • Coordinate the consolidated quarterly financial statement review presentation
  • Each quarter, prepare consolidated income statement analyses as input for SEC quarterly reports (and 10-K)
  • Allied imbalance, restructuring and legal reserve review and analysis
  • Support external audit and review procedures.
  • Assist in SOX compliance documentation and testing as required.
  • Plan, develop, and execute special projects as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of accounting experience, ideally including both public accounting and corporate experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Technical Competency: The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of US GAAP. He/she will have demonstrated ability to review or prepare journal entries and research accounting issues.
  • Leadership Skills: This individual will have the ability to manage the income statement consolidation process. He/she should be known as an excellent leader and proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • He/she should have the capability and desire to take on broader roles in the Finance organization.
  • Business Acumen: The analyst should have the ability to understand the business implications and impact on the consolidated financial statements of various transactions. Additionally, this individual should understand and manage cultural differences inherent in a highly diverse international business, naturally building relationships across the enterprise through collaboration, consensus building and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • 1-5 years of Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, formulas, data manipulation, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software
  • Thorough knowledge and prior experience with US GAAP
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
