Financial Analyst – Biltmore

The position will be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, and will be responsible for developing and administering incentive plans based on organizational objectives as well as supporting other functions of FP&A. Through financial analysis, the incumbent will research discrepancies and ensure incentives are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Candidate will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the incentive compensation process and enhance bonus forecasting processes.

This role is crucial in strategic decision making, supporting FP&A in performing complex analysis of operational effectiveness.

  • Requires a self-starter and critical thinker that can develop ideas, conduct research on complex concepts and processes, and recommend viable solutions.
  • Reconcile differences between the GL and incentive payments
  • Create and analyze financial statements and other financial documents to aide management in decision making process.
  • Prepare short and long term financial planning and reporting for key performance indicators.
  • Ability to think creatively about a business solution. Exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving.
  • Recommend improvements to maximize process efficiency and report management.
  • Investigate data issues, perform analyses with strong attention to detail; proposes and executes solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the company to assess and prioritize compensation/finance related needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective consulting, facilitation, and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Coach, lead, and participate in the development and mentoring of team members.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and project management experience preferred.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, statistics, mathematics or a related field and 7+ years of financial analysis and compensation plan administration experience.
  • Banking and financial institution experience highly desired
  • Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, compensation administration, financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
  • Experience with various business intelligence and reporting tools, from spreadsheets and word processing to SAP Business Objects BI tools (Webi, Crystal, Explorer, Dashboards), ETL concepts and tools.
