Financial Analyst / Associate – Hedge Fund / Private Equity

Job Summary

Perform due diligence on prospective financial investments in both public and private markets, across the capital structure. Portfolio maintenance activities on existing positions. Internal systems development for financial reporting and analysis, and investment analysis underwriting. Generation of new ideas for investments. Progress monitoring on existing portfolio companies within the private book.

Responsibilities and Duties

This role will be an all-encompassing financial analysis role, responsible for due diligence and underwriting on prospective investments, plus monitoring existing investments, and systems development to support the overall investment strategy and framework. The role will be to support the portfolio manager and learn and engage with him directly.

Qualifications and Skills

Prior investment experience of 2-5 years preferred, in either investment banking or buy-side. Strong technical skills including computer science, skills in database management (cloud-based systems and MS SQL Server); extensive experience in MS Excel. Presentation building. General knowledge of basic programming skills such as C, C++, VBA, Java, Python and others. Strong work ethic, ability to work independently.
