Financial Analyst

At US Anesthesia Partners of Nevada (USAP-NV), a distinguished team of physicians provide anesthesia services at facilities throughout Las Vegas and Henderson. Our team is dedicated to using clinical best practices while helping to facilitate the delivery of consistent, high quality services for patients, surgeons, facilities and payers. USAP-NV has a patient-centered approach to care with a focus on continuous quality improvement.

We are currently searching for Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other members of the leadership team to prepare financial analysis and complete financial special projects.

Responsibilities
Some of the essential functions of this role include the following:

  • Prepares financial analyses, including trending analysis, productivity metrics, revenue cycle analysis, and other ad hoc projects, as well as financial reports and graphic presentations.
  • Reviews existing methods for extracting, analyzing, and presenting data through project completion.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of USAP – Nevada’s financial information system, including the ability to write financial reports and make inquiries for data.
  • Responds to financial surveys on a monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc basis.
  • Handles confidential material on a regular basis and is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of such information

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area preferred.
  • Three years of analytical experience with a master’s degree or 8 years of analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficient PC skills, specifically in Excel and Access are required.
  • Three to five years healthcare experience preferred
  • Two years of experience with SQL and VBA programming preferred. Must possess superior analytical abilities, including the ability to identify issues, problems, and solutions.
  • Must possess superior mathematical aptitude, including the ability to build formulas for performing analysis.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and under deadlines, demonstrating solid professional judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and external customers
