Financial Analyst

At Regions, our Financial Analyst II develops financial planning systems and procedures designed to protect assets. Gathers, organizes and documents relevant financial information.

Primary Responsibilities

•Analyzes, consolidates and interprets financial data

•Prepares detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management

•Monitors actual results of financial data against plans, forecasts and budgets

•Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of both short-term and long-term business plans

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

•Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field

•Two years experience with management reporting or financial analysis

Preferences

•Experience within a financial services industry is preferred.

Skill Set Desired

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Excellent PC skills including experience with Microsoft applications

•Good knowledge of financial statements and strong quantitative skills

The Commercial Banking LOB finance team is looking for a Finance Analyst to support the Commercial Bank, the second largest business unit at Regions.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Planning & Forecasting; Finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans; Financial Modeling/Profitability; ad hoc analyses. As part of the responsibilities of the role, the teammate will develop business partner relationships with LOB partners, Finance Partners, Controller teams, and various Reporting Partners. Throughout the role, the teammate will have opportunities to take analysis from conception to presentation. This role requires strong communication, organization, presentation, analytical and leadership skills.
