Financial Analyst

Position Summary:

The financial analyst is responsible for providing objective and comprehensive analytical support by forecasting, coordinating variance analysis, and performing special project work to support the objectives and initiatives of the manufacturing finance function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance required
  
• 2+ years experience in financial analysis preferably in a manufacturing company
  
• Sound cost, general ledger & financial reporting knowledge
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Expert Excel and advanced querying skills (Access or Showcase Query) skills required
  
• JD Edwards and AS/400 knowledge preferred, SAP experience a plus
  
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Compare results of financial data against plans, forecasts, and budget to identify trends and anomalies in data
  
• Assemble spreadsheets, charts and graphs to illustrate trends
  
• Prepare detailed reconciliations of key accruals and inventory accounts
  
• Prepare department specific variance reports for site management review
  
• Monthly close responsibilities
  
• Perform various ad hoc financial analysis as needed
