The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis in understanding, explaining and communicating the company’s financial and operational results. The position will provide support to the forecast process, annual budget, monthly variance analysis, various data analytics and ad hoc operational reports. This individual will maintain an overall financial perspective of the company and will perform project-based analyses as required.

Duties & Responsibilities :
The primary functions of this position will include:
Provide support to annual budget process

FP&A, including MD&A support

Operational Metrics

Forecasting

Financial Modeling

Ad Hoc Reporting (Regulatory, Banking, etc.)

Specifically, this individual will:
Perform financial analysis, complete variance analyses by identifying key drivers of variances

Understand key business metrics and assist with development of new key indicators

Help expose trends in the data that indicate strengthening or weakening performance

Develop financial tools, analyses, and metrics in support of business strategies

Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and analytical support as needed

Reporting Relationship:
The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis of Presidio but will interact frequently with the Controller and other members of the finance and accounting team.

Required Skills

Professional Qualifications:
Required

6 months to three years of related business experience

Advanced Excel skills with experience creating, interpreting, and presenting financial projections and models

Experience extracting required information from internal and external databases and in-depth web searching when necessary

Demonstrated experience successfully working multiple projects simultaneously

Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree and experience in Finance or Accounting, or other related quantitative discipline, is required.

Interest or work towards an MBA, CPA or CFA desirable but not required.
