Financial Analyst

First advantage is currently seeking a Financial Analyst . The Financial Analyst is responsible for revenue planning, budgeting and analysis for North America Screening. This role will be responsible for the development and maintenance of financial models and presentations to support strategic initiatives. The analyst’s primary responsibilities will focus on review and analysis of revenue by monitoring trends, attrition and new business. Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze New business bookings and track and analyze revenue for New business and booking to revenue conversion
  • Assist in updating/ maintaining customer models to be used for budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist in the maintenance of the revenue data mart
  • Review revenue journal entries and reconcile revenue at month end, review/approve credits
  • Update and analyze heat maps and present findings
  • Prepare and update daily sales flash files and weekly presentation
  • Assist with the development of the budget and forecast as well as enter budget /forecast information in to Adaptive/Hyperion.
  • Ad hoc reporting and requests

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • MBA is a plus

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience as a Financial analyst
  • Previous experience in forecasting and variance analysis with sales/volume and P&L type reporting is strongly preferred

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated successes in complex model architecture and refinement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing experience. Must be self-motivated, independent, achievement oriented and assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on initiative, knowledge sharing, team-building, and decision-making. Strong and effective leadership skills, including ability to work effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Knowledge of Hyperion preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 /year
