Financial Analyst

Coordinate and partner with Asset Management, Portfolio Managers, Directors of Operations and other internal partners to facilitate the property budgeting process. This includes training and support to ensure that Portfolio Managers and anyone involved with budgeting from Property Management have a centralized and consistent resource for help as well as a point person to ensure timelines are met. Monitor and ensure budgeted rental increases are scheduled and implemented. Support field staff and review revenue plans to ensure that they are correctly calculated and implemented.Support monthly P & L review process by reviewing actual results versus plan, analyzing monthly variance repotts to determine key performance drivers and adherence to budgets.

Monitor overall portfolio financial health and identify impactful opportunities.Conduct research as needed during monthly financial close and be able to repmt variances to forecast and plan.When trends are discovered, a deeper dive is to be done to determine cause and effect, as well as solutions and possible ramifications must be presented.Collaborate with Pmtfolio Managers and Directors of Operations to better utilize current reporting tools and to develop additional financial reporting and forecasts to evaluate trends and strategies as needed. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to evaluate strategies and recommendations. Create ad-hoc forecasts as needed during key periods to provide insights into areas of risk.Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships witl1key business partners to ensure alignment on strategies to maximize financial results. Performs other assignments as requested.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics prefetTed.3+ years of related work experience in a finance-related field (including management consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance) Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Extensive experience in Excel preferred.Ability to make critical business recommendations and think strategically.Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize accordingly.Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via phone and in writing with all cross functional partners while exhibiting a high level of professional customer service.Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently and meet deadlines using demonstrated time management skills.Must possess a valid California Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current proof of insurance.
