Finance & Risk – Project Manager

Riskmatters include but are not limited to RDARR project management, credit, liquidity, market, operational and other risks. The resource will be required to be analytical and able to balance scheduling with data gathering and analysis. The role is to build and work with cross-functional teams while problem solving and leading and concluding on risk and finance related short and long term projects. The position is to be the key liaison for all risk and finance related matters on all projects registered in the project office.

Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project

To be present and represent (be a liaison) at all Risk and Finance related projects registered with the Project office.

To be present and represent Finance and Risk in all projects registered with the project office.

At project meetings be able to extract the matters that would impact Risk and Finance and communicate these to the Risk and Finance teams in a timely manner and concur with these areas what the impact on the project will be and provide feedback back to the project office

Once items have been discussed with Finance/Risk teams give project team feedback, to update in their written project plans and to action

Be the person that the project team approaches to get RDARR requirements aligned and completed to meet deadlines

Assist with documenting RDARR processes, policies, and frameworks to meet RDARR requirements

Require a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Risk

Project Management skills – planning documenting, adhering to timelines, stakeholder management

Financial service industry knowledge 3-5 years ( specifically retail banking, including micro-finance lending) – beneficial.

Finance skills should include, understanding of how a trail balance is created as part of the month end process, have an understanding of journals, reconciliation, system integrations, corporate income tax, VAT and how to deal with internal and external auditors.

Understanding of financial and risk models and ability to build them

Excel skills – professional advance level

Knowledge of Pastel Evolution accounting package beneficial

Have a good working knowledge of RDARR and relevant risks as well as data aspects Competencies

Identify milestones and deliverables, and ensure that projects are completed on time

Able to report and clearly communicate with team members across departments.
