Finance Operations

As a member of the Finance Team, you will lead our Treasury Operations and Portfolio Reporting Teams and initiatives. We are a small team that roll-up our sleeves to support one of the fastest growing companies in fintech – and this is a critical role in scaling our business.

Data Driven: In this role, you sit at the center of the company’s financial operations and ensure loans are disbursed, and payments collected, timely and accurately, so our lenders and loan purchasers receive regular portfolio reports. You are proficient in general payment processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation principles with a solid understanding of internal control compliance within an operations environment.

Continuous Improvement: You will drive design, development, and automation of settlement operations process and financial reporting. You seek out new ideas and see innovation and reform as a chance to actively shape change.

Cross Functional: You’ll collaborate with IT and functional business units to draft, monitor, and implement necessary changes to business processes and develop automated reporting for existing and new products.

Sample responsibilities and projects include:

  • Supervise daily payments, clearing, and reconciliation for all loan disbursements and collections
  • Ensure the effective daily performance of the Treasury Operations and Portfolio Reporting teams
  • Lead the daily reconciliation of settlement and funding activities within internal and external bank accounts
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Ideal backgrounds and expertise:

  • You have extensive work experience with large data sets and the ability to demonstrate expertise in leading data and reporting financial information
  • You have at least ten years of relevant experience with a minimum of three years running a card payment operations, or similar banking team
  • You know the standards applied to the reconciliation of daily clearing and settlement, funding, and cash movement activities and can write, compile, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for financial operations.
  • You are skilled at utilizing Excel, SQL and other technological tools to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • You possess a highly analytical conceptual competence, strong service-orientation flexibility, and a high level of dedication and commitment. You work independently and keep calm regardless of the situation.
  • You astutely identify simple and sensible solutions.
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience. An MBA is a plus.
