General Summary

The Finance Manager provides direct financial support to the Sales and Marketing team to optimize organizational performance and customer service while maintaining appropriate accounting controls and reporting. Scope includes trade promotion management, revenue recognition, credit, collections, planning and budgeting, monitoring and reporting financial performance and internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the Customer Finance team in functional operations, performance and development.
• Analyzes data and metrics to develop and prepare meaningful financial reports.
• Ensures compliance with JSOX controls.
• Provides financial support to Category Management in analyzing performance for products and customers.
• Directs deduction dispute resolution process.
• Responsible for financial reporting of sales and related activities.
• Ensures customer information database and product set up are accurate, timely, and maintained properly to support accurate sales information reporting.
• Interfaces and effectively communicate with Sales and other internal departments regarding pricing, distribution, trade ROI and deductions.
• Works with Sales and Category Management in preparation of AOP to determine revenue and margins.
• Manages the implementation and optimization of the trade promotion management system.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close of sales, marketing and trade activity, and all associated balance sheet account reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Significant experience in trades management in the food industr
• In-depth knowledge of ERP and Trade Management systems.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Team player.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
