Finance Manager (Cigna Medical Group)

As a Finance Manager for Cigna Medical Group (CMG), this
position works as an integral part in achieving Cigna’s Strategic Imperative to
Establish a Meaningful Cost Advantage and Be the Partner of Choice for
Customers and Consultants. Leads revenue forecasting and management of the
financials for our Business Units within CMG. Responsible for the operations
and processes for member enrollment and billing. Develops and monitors
enrollment and billing policies and procedures. Ensures process efficiencies
and service quality. Addresses broad, complex enrollment and billing
issues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis for Business Unit financials across CMG as
    well as Revenue forecasting.
  • Manage payer contracts to ensure billing/payment processes
    are accurate.
  • Manage the efforts in Fee Schedule Analysis and maintenance
    in addition to Medicare RVU calculations, AWP pricing adjustments for
    injectable medications, departmental pricing of supplies and Gap code pricing
    utilizing provider survey data.
  • Lead efforts in moderate to complex financial analysis
    projects and reporting.
  • Lead the development of financial tools including Metric
    reporting, A/R Dashboards, RVU analysis for Special Business Unit (SBU)
    reporting.
  • Perform audits to ensure financial controls are maintained.
  • Oversee all aspects of electronic and paper claims
    submission for CMG claims.
  • Track statistics for major payers for CMG.
  • Manage reporting of financial data for CMG HealthCare
    Financial Services.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years+ related professional experience, preferable
    in a corporate healthcare business environment.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in any of the following
    areas strongly preferred: financial analysis, medical billing, claims
    processing, collections, remittance posting, claims analysis, or compilation of
    statistics
  • Knowledge of medical
    delivery models; health care insurance delivery models; medical billing and
    claims strongly preferred
  • Strong business process knowledge.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Analytical, decision making and problem resolution
    proficiency.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are required.
  • 5 years of experience working with PC (Word, Excel account
    billing or collections software a plus).
  • Ability to lead others in departmental process improvements,
    as well as train staff on processes.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize
    effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to
    present information proficiently.
  • Independently follow standard policies and procedures.
    Understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and
    procedures.
  • Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis,
    wisdom, experience, and judgment.
