Finance Analyst

The Financial Analyst is a key position, responsible for liaising between Field Operations, Project Management, Accounting and the Customer to ensure all work is properly quoted, tracked, executed and billed according to customer specifications and timelines. This position is responsible for all financial reporting of projects and provides pivotal data to be used in most customers reporting. The Financial Analyst reports to the Financial Controls Manager and will be assigned one or more projects to financially manage. Working closely with the Functional Project Manager, as well as other project team members from all internal departments (Real Estate, Construction, Transport Engineering, Technical Services and Accounting), the Financial Analyst maintains project financial trackers and prepares status reports. These reports consist of Funding reports and Profit & Loss statements. The Analyst is the project finance gatekeeper and all financially related items are to be routed through the analyst prior to going through our internal accounting team. The overall goal of this position is to ensure that the assigned projects are financially managed and yield anticipated profits.

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently communicating financial controls requirements to the project team

• Communicating all customer issues in a timely manner to project team and escalate as required

• Developing and maintaining project financial tracker (s) such that accurate data and resulting reports are available to management on a timely basis

• Developing and maintaining project financial report(s) on a weekly and monthly basis

• Attending project meetings – internally and externally – in order to present and reconcile data

• Providing information to Financial Lead(s) and Manager that will be helpful to support the development of project financial tracking tools

• Coordinating with Vinculums Management in order to present accurate data to customers when necessary

• Assisting with Contract Management

• Performing all duties in accordance with the Vinculums Code of Safe Practices (IIPP).

REQUIRED

• 2-5 years of accounting, finance and/or telecom background

• Expertise in MS Excel

• Database knowledge and skills

• Skilled with numbers; analytical and methodical mentality

• Background in Finance & Accounting through education and experience

• High aptitude for customer service

• Demonstrated follow-through and attention to detail

• Persistence and diplomacy

• Must have strong work ethic with ability to multi-task

• Motivated to exceed expectations

• Ability to meet deadlines while completing the work accurately and successfully

Preferred but not required:

• ATT Turf Background

• Wireless industry background

• Four Year Degree, preferably accounting or business administration and/or three to five years experience

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $27.00 to $35.00 /hour
