Expedia spends half a billion dollars a year participating in highly dynamic and daring auctions in travel metasearch (TripAdvisor, Kayak, Trivago) and SEM (Google, Bing, Yahoo) as well as social media (Facebook). This job adds to Expedia success by supporting the Global Metasearch Marketing business by performing financial analysis, forecasting and business modeling and by focusing on improving return on marketing spend. You will be a self-starter who enjoys problem-solving, pays attention to details, and is able to work well with all levels of the cross-functional teams including Expedia marketing, finance and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with key business partners to further improve optimization of Meta bidding
• Lead the efforts and facilitate business partners in development of forward looking trends including Financial Forecasting and Annual Plan.
• Identify and communicate plans’ risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and communicate monthly management reports, variance analyses, trend analysis and financial review documents
• Lead analytical projects that assist and influence the Metasearch business, including on effectiveness of online marketing spend
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business partners.

Competencies:

• Experience and Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in finance, business, economics or other quantitative fields is required;
• 2-4 years of work experience in a similar analytical or financial planning role;
• Real passion for using data to drive better decision making and results oriented
• You will have strong qualitative and quantitative financial skills and strong attention to detail
• Knack for Powerpoint and presenting to business partners
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to influence others
• Familiarity with financial reporting software (Teradata/Hyperion/SQL) a plus
