Our underwriting authorities cover Ocean Marine, Inland Marine, and General Aviation reinsurance. With 65 years of combined experience in specialty reinsurance markets our team is able to rapidly analyze and assist insurers to tailor the most suitable reinsurance product to operate effectively on a bespoke basis. About the position

Am Re is seeking an accountant for internal accounting and bookkeeping. 40 hours a week. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. A comprehensive health insurance plan is also provided. The position is based in New York City in the financial district.

Responsibilities include: data entry, electronic filing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, purchasing, invoice preparation, check cutting and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

AM RE is willing to hire a qualified CPA with 2-3 years of work experience, a strong work ethic, excellent analytical skill and the ability to pay attention to details. The position implies working under minimum supervision and requires a well organized and proactive candidate pursuing constant improvement and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to get along with the other staff.

Requirements

• Solid degree, college educated, CPA Qualified
