Field Service Representative-West

Reports To: Field Service Manager

Job Type: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
The Field Service Representative-East (FSR) must be able to perform all the job

functions of a Home Center Representative. The Field Service

Representative-East is responsible for managing and stocking inventory (i.e.,

millwork and other building products to include mouldings, columns,

boards/lumber, stairparts, etc.) in Home Center Store locations. The

representative maintains inventory data and information via iPhone or handheld

device, submits order information via iPhone or handheld device, stocks

mouldings, columns, stairparts and other building products so as to ensure that

proper signage and display is in order to enhance sales. This representative

works to build and maintain a strong supplier-customer relationship in order to

promote sales growth. This position requires daily travel involving the use of

a company provided vehicle, therefore a good driving history is a must. A

commitment to hard work, extended hours and meeting with the job’s

requirements in order to maintain customer satisfaction is an expectation for

this position.

Essential Functions:
This position requires that the employee perform all essential duties as

assigned by the Field Service

Manager which shall include but are not limited to the following:

Orders product for the replenishment of sold inventory in a group of Home

Center retail stores within a given geographical region.

Removes and disposes of cull product from inventory and in accordance with

Company Policy.

Maintains and keeps up-to-date presentation and signage materials in Home

Centers for all products that ECMD provides and services.

Builds a strong supplier-customer relationship with members of the

organization in the facilities which the FSR services.

Visits all stores in the group of his/her responsibility per the schedule as

determined by his/her Field Service Manager.

Works with the Field Service Manager to ensure that the stores in the group

of his/her responsibility have the proper product mix.

Ensures that store displays are neat and clean.

The FSR must pack out products within 36 hours of delivery per the

requirements set by his/her Field Service Manager.

Travels to customer locations, work sights, etc. to address customer

complaints.

Makes regular store/customer visits per a predetermined or assigned schedule

to ensure that thecustomer can anticipate his/her arrival and visit on a regular

and scheduled basis.

Must be willing to travel overnight as needed.

Performs Product Knowledge training at all store locations as needed.

Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

Employees must read, speak and understand basic English.

Such other duties and assignments that shall be made from time to time to

employee from anymember of the Company’s management.

Additional Functions:
Maintains and documents work time, business expenses, and travel, and

communicates this to the Corporate Office as required.

Facilitates and aids the staff of the stores as needed to keep a good

working relationship.

Keeps the company vehicle well supplied with items needed to complete all

job functions.

Keeps the company vehicle up to date with maintenance on a timely schedule

and is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, free of debris and

clutter, organized and presentable at all times both inside and out.Failure to

do so shall be considered neglect and abuse involving the assignment of Company

property, which may result in reprimand and/or withholding of wages for contract

cleaning/maintenance.Smoking or vaping is prohibited from use in any assigned

company lease vehicle.

Ensures that the company vehicle is supplied with an accident kit and all

the required contents.

Submits Market Shops, Price Shops and or Surveys as required by management.

Such other duties and assignments that shall be made from time to time to

employee from any member of the Company’s management.

Requirements:
Must submit a request for vacation time (i.e., PTO) or planned leave of

absence (medical, etc.) a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance except in an

emergency.

Contact the Field Service Manager immediately for sick or emergency absence.

Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary with approval by

management.

Communicate and work independently on a set route schedule.

Communicate and work with customers in a professional manner.

Maintain a neat appearance and dress code when servicing the stores in the

route.

Required to wear,a vendor’s vest with business card placed in the pocket

holder, and an article of ECMD sportswear when representing the company on

accounts.

Good organizational and sequencing skills.

Proficient use of a fax machine, copier, iPhone and computer.

Wear appropriate and required PPE.

Valid and appropriate driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Adhere to all driving laws.

Use company vehicle for business use only and adhere to company policies

while operating company vehicle.

Physical Demands:
Requires ordinary conversation, hearing, and visual acuity.

Bend occasionally.

Sit, stand, walk, and move about the stores while servicing.

Lift and carry 75 pounds.Should ask for assistance with any item(s) weighing

more than 75 pounds.
