F-35 Support Equipment Contract Logistics Support (CLS) Maintainer for Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), Nagoya Japan Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) plant with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).

Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a 1-year short term assignment to Nagoya, Japan, with possibility of extension.

F-35 Support Equipment Contract Logistics Support (CLS) Maintainer.

Successful candidate will provide technical guidance and logistics support for a broad range of F-35 Ground Support Equipment (GSE) located at the F-35 FACO in Nagoya, Japan. Successful candidate would work daily to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all program provided F-35 support equipment on site. Works as direct assistant to on site Support Equipment FSR. Work requirements at this specific location will require individual to be heavily involved with physical sustainment, maintenance, and management of F-35 FACO support equipment, to include physical execution of scheduled / unscheduled maintenance tasks, calibration item management, as well as broken tool replenishment activities. Individual will be heavily involved in equipment logistics activities as well, involving shipment of equipment on and off site on a frequent basis for repairs, scheduled maintenance, or equipment modifications off site. Work will be done at customer site at MHI. Must be able to operate in a constantly evolving production environment.

Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements.

Successful candidate must be willing to travel to the country of Japan and operate at the F-35 FACO Assembly Plant for the duration of 1 year, with possibility of contract extension. Candidate will be required to travel to various F-35 locations within continental United States while concurrently working VISA requirements for work in Japan.

Employment is contingent upon the successful candidate’s ability to pass medical, dental, overseas screening requirements, as well as obtain and maintain a work VISA for the country of Japan. Candidate must maintain their medical fitness for this position.

The selected applicant may be required to work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week to support equipment needs at the FACO. Potential for weekend work may be possible dependent on customer needs.

Relocation: Relocation is not authorized. Successful candidate will operate under a short-term assignment to Japan.

Accompanied Status Not Available: Dependents may not accompany successful candidate overseas. Any costs or expenses incurred for relocation of dependents to overseas location to accompany candidate will be incurred by the candidate, and will not be recompensed by Lockheed Martin.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must have a Final Transferable Secret security clearance, last Periodic Reinvestigation must be within the last five years.

Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience or commensurate related experience.

Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.

Experience using engineering drawings and technical data.

Capable of working in hazardous flightline environment.

Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.

In addition to the following:

1) Good Communication & Verbal skills (Ability to speak fluent Japanese considered a plus)

2) Self Starter & the ability to multitask

3) Must be willing to work off hours depending on operational needs.

4) Able to withstand extreme weather conditions in varying climates.

5) Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds for 25 or more yards.

6) Travel outside the local region is anticipated and will include CONUS and other locations in Japan in support of operational needs at other sites.

7) Time zone differences may require adjusted shift schedule as necessary to participate in telcons or VTCs with external agencies.

8) Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin’s training locations prior to international assignment. These locations may include but are not limited to: Luke AFB, AZ; Nellis AFB, NV, Hill AFB, UT; Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Yuma, AZ; Beaufort, SC.

9) Successful candidate must be capable of passing medical, dental and overseas screening requirements and must maintain their medical fitness for this position as a condition of employment.
