Position Summary: The Department of Physiology & Biomedical Engineering at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a highly productive researcher and/or industry expert with expertise and accomplishments commensurate to an Associate or Full Professor level in Biomedical Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will establish and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized, innovative research and technology development program. Areas with clear clinical/translational appeal and application such as biomedical electronics, physiological sensing, clinical monitoring, physiological/ clinical diagnostics, biomedical imaging and medical device development will be highly considered.

Qualifications: Credentials of a successful candidate will include a doctoral degree (Ph.D., DSC, or Sc.D.) with background and strengths in a relevant science and/or engineering field. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of postdoctoral experience, an established track record of relevant research accomplishments and scholarship exemplified by development and implementation of innovative technologies, publications, evidence of significant extramural funding, leadership skills, and

multidisciplinary collaborations; and/or alternately, prior in-depth exposure to the commercial biomedical engineering and technology-based industry. Familiarity and experience in the exploration of non-traditional research investment, intellectual property and patenting, commercialization and/or medical-industry liaisons will be viewed positively.
