We’re focusing on designing, developing and marketing digital online games with a focus on mid core players from all over the world. In a relaxed yet productive environment the team draws on knowledge from more than 60 published titles across many platforms. Our crew has worked on international titles like Wolfenstein, Battlefield and Battlestar Galactica Online. Your Mission

As a software developer you will be part of our interdisciplinary team, developing and adding to our new lineup of online games. Workwise you can expect a professional environment utilizing a blend of proven and new technologies – for our games we’re developing the backend with Java/PHP/MySQL and a frontend based on HTML5/CSS/JavaScript.

One of your main tasks will be to properly plan and develop game features in collaboration with the rest of the team, creatively influencing the actual product design. While your focus will be the backend, a good understanding of full stack web development and the frontend will be highly beneficial. Besides that, you will also focus on:

• Creating & maintaining the detailed technical documentation and planning of new features

• Developing the backend for our new gam features and properly integrating them with the frontend development

• Collaborating closely with all departments and key members, to create and deliver an exceptional and involving online game play experience

• Considering and weighing all aspects of proposed solutions from a technical point of view

• Creating and assessing technical design documents and content created by other project members

Your Profile

• Strong passion for online games

• Great development skills in server-side Java, PHP frameworks and MySQL (please provide references of relevant projects)

• Ability to articulate and document technical designs clearly and analytically

• Ability to produce concise, performant, well documented and easily extendable code (please provide samples)

• College degree and/or equivalent game industry experience

• Ability to communicate effectively and objectively

• Great organizational and problem-solving skills

• Strong analytical, communication, intercultural and interpersonal skills

• Willingness and stamina to work with tight deadlines under stressful conditions

• Readiness to travel internationally

• Excellent oral and written English skills

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with agile software development and scrum-based working environments

• Understanding of full web-stack development, HTML / CSS & Javascript Frameworks

• Developed and launched one or more full web stack apps / online games

• Contributed to relevant open source projects in the past (please provide samples if applicable)

• Working experience in the games industry

• Track record of key participation in successfully launched games

• Deep online gaming knowledge and background

• Proven track record with browser game development

• Demonstrated ability to work under tight schedules and reliably hit milestones
