Job Description:
Billings Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic

Executive Director to lead a team of seasoned healthcare

professionals dedicated exceptional care and customer

As Executive Director, we will look to you to promote

will possess great critical thinking and analytical

skills, excellent business knowledge of post-acute and

skilled nursing facility care, as well as the ability to

lead, develop and empower employees.

Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities

Administration

————–

1. Complete performance evaluations on an annual basis

for department managers.

2. Represent the facility in dealings with outside

agencies, including governmental agencies and third

party payers, or provide an authorized representative of

the facility when unable to attend such meetings.

3. Make routine inspections of the facility to assure

that established departmental policies and procedures

are being implemented and followed.

4. Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by

authorized government agencies. Review and develop a

plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey

inspections and provide a written copy of such plan to

management as requested.

5. Ensure that all residents receive care in a manner

and in an environment that maintains or enhances their

quality of life without abridging the safety and rights

of other residents.

Personnel Functions

1. Work with department managers concerning the

operation of their departments to assist in

eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement

of services.

2. Ensure that an adequate number of appropriately

trained professional and auxiliary personnel are on duty

at all times.

3. Assist in staff development. Formally and informally

monitor performance of personnel and ensure

adjustments/corrections are made by using coaching,

counseling, and discipline methods. Resolve staff

performance issues including those that may lead to

termination.

4. Maintain an excellent working relationship with the

medical profession and other health related facilities

and organizations through formal working and transfer

agreements.

Safety and Sanitation

1. Ensure that all facility personnel, residents,

visitors, etc., follow established safety regulations,

to include fire protection/prevention, smoking

regulations, infection control, etc.

2. Review accident/incident reports and establish an

effective accident prevention program.

3. Ensure development of county-approved Disaster Plan.

Budget and Planning Functions

1. Prepare an annual operating budget for approval by

the management and allocate the resources to carry out

programs and activities of the facility.

Job Requirements:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions,

follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.

Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel,

residents, family members, visitors, government

agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able

to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset,

and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must

be able to speak and write English in an understandable

manner. Must be able to speak and write English in an

Education and Experience

————————

A Bachelor’s Degree is necessary. A degree in Public

Health Administration or Business Administration, or a

health related degree is preferred but not required.

Licensing/Certifications

————————

  • Must have, as a minimum, 5 year (s) experience in a

supervisory capacity in a hospital or long term care

facility.

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home

Administrator / Executive Director’s license or meet

the licensure requirements of this State.
