Executive Administrative Assistant

The City of Brewer is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Executive Administrative Assistant. This position provides direct support to the City Manager, Manager’s staff, as well as the Economic Development Department. This position has frequent contact with city councilors, citizens, city department heads and representatives of other levels of government. A high level of diplomacy and professionalism is required.

Duties will include drafting correspondence, website maintenance and social media monitoring, maintaining filing systems, and receiving the public. The successful applicant must be organized and responsible, have strength in both written and verbal communication, and possess superior computer skills. This position must maintain confidentiality on a variety of sensitive matters.

Preferred candidates will possess a college degree with five years of experience working for a senior level chief administrative or executive officer in either the public or private sector. The City of Brewer provides a competitive pay and benefit package.
