General Purpose of Job: Assist the department of Instructional Systems in the support of an individual site’s logistics of 1:1 devices as needed for managment, support, and repair.
Provide first-level on-site technical support and maintenance for hardware and software in classrooms, offices, and other facilities as needed, with a primary focus on 1:1 devices. Includes physical installation, initial diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for all computing devices and peripheral classroom hardware and equipment to ensure optimal classroom performance. Support student assessment (Testing) devices during Testing sessions, including labs and portable devices; to insure that Testing hardware/software performs as required for a positive testing experience. Train customers on basic operation of classroom technology, with a primary focus on 1:1 devices. Execute tasks that minimze inventory loss of 1:1 devices, including daily contact with students and occasional contact with parents/guardians. Collaborate with Technical Support Specialists, Info Tech ESP’s, school adminisitration, the Repair Department and Network personnel to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students and teachers in locating resources and operating electronic equipment, including computers and computer software especially that used by the current 1:1 program. Train customers on the proper use of technology.
  • Document daily activity in the appropriate work ticket tracking system, mobile device managment software, and other spreadsheets as required. Escalate situations to the next level as required.
  • Follow procedures and suggest improvements as discovered.
  • Assist and support computer technology with installation of software, troubleshooting hardware problems, and maintenance of the computer networks.
  • Assist in maintaining a good learning environment.
  • Set up and maintain inventory of media/technology resources, including hardware and software.
  • Maintain operation of the media center in the short-term absence of the Information Technology Specialist.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Information Technology Specialist.
  • May be required to travel to different building sites during the workday
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate hardware, especially iPads, and other 1:1 devices.
  • Demonstrate skill in using a variety of software packages, including Apple software and apps, and other 1:1 device software.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
Job Type: Part-time, 30 hours/week
