Job Description:

This position reports to the IT Manager, and will work out of Cold Chain Technologies Franklin Massachusetts facility. The qualified candidate will work closely with the IT manager, various department managers and staff, the Network Support group, as well as 3rd party development consultants and software providers.

The ERP Systems Analyst & Integration Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems as well as participate in 3rd party software integrations. The ERP Systems Analyst & Integration Specialist will also be responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our Exact Macola & Synergy Enterprise applications.
  • Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
  • Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
  • Provide minor programming for some in-house IT projects.
  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units when modifications or extensions to primary business applications are requested.
  • Make recommendations on custom applications which include a number of MS-Access data capture systems and other databases which need to be moved into a central SQL repository.
  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
  • Assist in managing outsourced relationships with custom development and programming consultants
  • Provide integration support for any 3rd party software efforts (EDI, Salesforce.com, 3PL integrations, warehouse management systems, etc.)
  • Coordinate application development for multiple projects.
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including end user guides and instructions.
  • Participate in, and provide updates for, bi-weekly team meetings and status updates.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing application systems.

Secondary/Supportive Responsibilities (assist IT Department with local support)

  • Assist network administrator with application installation and testing.
  • Provide SQL administration in live and test environments.
  • Assist/provide general IT related support to users; Respond to incoming telephone calls, web-submissions, emails and face to face requests for assistance from users experiencing problems

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Information Technology or related field. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of ERP experience with at least 5 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Working knowledge of Macola ERP and Exact Synergy Enterprise software would be an asset
  • Experience with 3rd party software integrations (Salesforce.com, EDI, e-commerce, warehouse management systems, freight systems, etc.)
  • Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
  • Good background in Data Base reporting from Microsoft SQL and Access.
  • Background in Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, Excel, Word, Outlook and HTML
  • Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Lifting up to 50lbs may be required.
