ERP SYSTEMS ANALYST III

TE Connectivity’s ERP Systems Teams conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise wide systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, EPICOR) across functional areas. They perform analysis of systems specifications and use the latest analytical/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes. TE’s ERP Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The IT – ERP Business Analyst will report to IT but is aligned to the local site management. S/he will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing and transition of process and system improvements and analytical insights with the following key objectives:

  • Understand the business model and take an appropriate perspective on concepts and solutions.
  • Become a respected and ‘go-to’ business analyst in terms of systems, business processes, reporting requirements.
  • Leverage native ERP development tools to reduce dependency on custom reports and solutions.
  • Work with data to produce reliable and actionable insights for site management
  • A depth of knowledge and/or the ability to quickly and enthusiastically glean knowledge across the business functions such as supply chain management (inbound and outbound logistics), manufacturing, quality and finance is essential.
  • Foster relationships and make a tangible positive impact to business functions (in line with specific objectives).
  • Take a local lead role for regard to future global projects e.g. an ERP system upgrades and/or global ERP deployments.
  • Ensure all projects and solutions we delivered maintain compliance to appropriate Quality Management, qualification and other appropriate requirements.
  • Provide assistance with and become knowledgeable on other non-ERP systems used by the site

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analyzing reporting requirements to reduce manual reporting and time spent on data mining.
  • Contribute to solution discussions within the local sites and where appropriate in a divisional context
  • Work towards reducing the dependency on manual spreadsheets in MS Excel throughout the business.
  • Documenting of business requirements/ specifications and conversion to actionable technical design specifications
  • Engage heads of departments/ key stakeholders to assess their business priorities and requirements.
  • Supervise relevant projects (including cost assessment and review) from inception to implementation and subsequent benefits review.
  • Review, develop and recommend business process improvements.
  • Analyze alternative solutions and make recommendations.
  • Participate in and drive Business Process Improvement Project Initiatives.
  • Provide ERP support/troubleshooting

    Key Competencies (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Experience of configuring, implementing or being a super-user of Tier 1,2 ERP systems (preferably EPICOR etc)
  • ERP implementation experience desirable, preferably EPICOR ERP.
  • Degree and equivalent work experience in any relevant business area or IT-related essential.
  • SQL writing skills or similar would be desirable
  • Experience with reporting tools essential e.g. Crystal, SSRS, etc
  • Project management experience with IT/ERP projects
  • Experience in a GMP regulated environment a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently with autonomy and drive initiatives through to completion.
  • Strong business systems knowledge.
  • Enthusiasm, drive and an investment in the pursuit of positively influencing the business
  • Will be required to work flexible start/finish times.
  • May be required to travel to other sites as and when required (10% travel anticipated)
