CFO Solutions – Senior Consultant

A Senior Consultant at CFO Solutions is a seasoned technologist who understands how to translate client needs in to business applications. Adept at eliciting requirements, Senior Consultants lead client discussions and build application components to suit. They understand finance business processes, financial statements, and common business metrics in one or more industries. Senior Consultants are resourceful, effective problem-solvers. They build expertise in a specific technology and constantly pursue broadening their skills.

The Senior Consultant is a proactive, reliable contributor to project delivery who can work effectively in teams and independently to create value for our clients. CFO Solutions’ Senior Consultants are characterized by their dedication; clients trust them and they are at the core of project delivery.

Candidates will be considered from any location in the United States. The Senior Consultant will be expected to work virtually from a dedicated home office and travel to client sites, typically 1-2 weeks per month.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements gathering
  • Document application design
  • Build dimensions, metadata, web forms, reports, and business rules
  • Communicate independently with clients to follow up on action items
  • Prepare user acceptance use cases and test scripts
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Document end user guides and deliver training
  • Adhere to project management methodologies
  • Prepare status reports and update tasks in the project plan
  • Adhere to quality assurance processes
  • Delegate effectively to junior team members
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Participate in internal initiatives
  • Participate in business development activities at existing clients
  • Develop skills in new technologies

Highly desirable candidates will have experience with one or more of the following technologies or industries

  • Oracle Hyperion
  • Host Analytics
  • Infor CPM or d/EPM
  • IBM Cognos TM1
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Dell Boomi
  • Tableau/Qlik/Birst
  • Manufacturing
  • Health Care

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience implementing multi-dimensional business intelligence technologies such as Infor BI, Oracle Hyperion, Host Analytics, Microstrategy, IBM Cognos TM1, and Microsoft Analysis Services
  • 3+ years of experience with financial processes such as planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial consolidations
  • Demonstrable experience learning more than one technology
  • College degree or industry equivalent experience
  • Experience managing a team through at least one full cycle implementation engagement

  • Ability to articulate common budgeting and forecasting processes and concepts
  • Ability to engage clients in thoughtful dialog to elicit requirements
