Entry to Mid Level Java/JEE Developer – Active SECRET required

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active ACTIVE SECRET clearance – a requirement on its Project with a Major Prime) for the following position for a federal agency.

Title : Mid Level Java/JEE Developer

Salary : $80k to $120k/yr based on experience, qualifications and certifications with std benefits

Clearance : Active SECRET required

LOCATION : Merrifield, VA

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement JEE software applications with various application servers

Hands-on experience with Agile software development methodology

Use modern software engineering IDEs including Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD) for design, development, and testing the software

Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand and document requirements in JIRA, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations

Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology

Required Skills may include all or some of the following:
HTMLJavascriptCSS, JSPServlets,Struts,EJBS,SQL,XML,Unix/ Linux, JDBC, Hibernate, Ant, Maven

JEE Server experience (WeblogicWebsphereJBOSSetc.)

Experience working with users to define requirements and demonstrate solutions

Experience designing and delivering complex, highly-scalable software components

REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS & EXPERIENCE & CLEARANCE

Minimum 0-4 years of software development experience with at least 1+ years of Java/JEE Software Development experience

Bachelor’s degre e in Computer Science or engineering or science or other fields

Agile development approach

Superior written/oral communication skills and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels

Strong initiative: must be able to take a high-level requirement, ask questions/seek clarifications, and get the job done

Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment

Must work well in a team environment as well as independently

Government Requirement s

• Clearance – must have an Active SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test
• Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen

Our standard benefits include: Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave).
