Entry Level Systems Applications Developer Internship

Responsibilities:

As an Entry Level Systems Applications Developer, the candidate will be responsible for managing and consolidating existing back-end systems, web applications and databases, as well as creating new software, systems, pages, and modules. It will be the developer’s responsibility to manage these projects in an organized and timely manner.

Other responsibilities include:

• Working with the development team on high-level programming and technology projects
• Increasing workflow of staff members in order to expedite order fulfilment and reduce errors
• Creating automated systems to eliminate time & resource waste
• Working with staff members to improve and create new tools

Responsibilities may also include extensive IT duties such as network and printer management, workflow automation, and day-to-day staff tech support.

Requirements:

Candidates must have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work in a team environment
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, MYSQL, and object oriented design
• Proficient in Javascript & JQuery
• Experience with Microsoft Office and web development in a Microsoft Windows environment

The following is a plus:

• AJAX and PHP
• Design / usability experience
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Photoshop, GIMP, CorelDRAW
